I Have Nothing To Say
I have absolutely nothing worthwhile to say on this fine Thursday morning.
But will that stop me from spilling a healthy compliment of drivel across this now empty screen? Not a chance!
I mean having nothing to say hasn't stopped me before, so why start now?
Trixie Belle Of The Ball, our jet-black, pointy-eared Miniature Schnauzer sits expectantly in my chair...MY chair? Ha! It's hers and she knows it.
Her eyes track my every move for she knows that not many moments hence the Pack Leader will be ready for the morning jaunt in the park.
Oh, you thought I was referring to myself? Again I say, Ha!
That would be my beloved.
She is most definitely the Pack Leader when it comes to Trixie Belle. She thinks it has something to do with having had Trixie tethered to her for the first three or four months of her life. She's probably right.
What I don't understand is that I'm the one who scratches her ears, rubs her tummy and nuzzles her face. Sometimes I pet the dog too.
That was a joke. You see how I had you going one direction and then...never mind.
So...we are going to have our first 100 degree day tomorrow or Saturday. After that we'll be in triple digits until the end of September.
And PLEASE do not tell me, "It gets hot where I live too," because it's just not the same. Here's the difference: in Las Vegas it will be 110 in the day time and cool off to a nice, refreshing NINETY at night!!! I'm not kidding.
That typically lasts from mid-July through the end of August.
Brutal!
But it sounds like I'm complaining.
Well...
I actually have the window open in my office/studio so I can hear the sound of my three-tiered waterfall.
Did I tell you that I have a recording studio at my house?
I didn't?
Well, I do. Right now we are in full production for a Christmas CD.
I know, I know...doing Christmas music in the heat makes no sense whatsoever, but you have to get an early start on stuff like this because if you don't have it mixed and mastered by September, there won't be enough time to get it distributed.
What, you thought novel writing is the only thing I do?
Okay...I've managed to drivel on long enough.
Have a great day, neighbors.
Remember something...your words are containers. And whatever they carry will reproduce after its own kind. So speak well.
RG...out!
