A Paucity Of Posting
Sorry for the paucity of posting, but to be completely honest, I haven't been able to summon even a scrap of interest in writing anything since last week's marathon finish to the novel.
Did I mention that on the final day I wrote 42 pages?
So, the first rough draft is in the hands of my editor who will no doubt have a few suggestions to make.
Editors are like that.
Yeah, they are.
This edit will be for content.
The next edit, immediately following, will be for grammar.
Then I'll begin my second draft with the hope of having the project wrapped up by summer's end.
In the meantime, I'm searching through about a dozen other stories (some of which have in excess of 200 pages written) in order to determine which one will be next.
Writing is like that, you know...you can never stop.
I fear too often that we, as writers, are way too content to camp on the battlefield of yesterday's victories, so to speak.
I'm really hoping to avoid that mistake.
There is something big that will possibly be happening with "Snapshots At St. Arbuck's," but I can't say anything just yet.
Well, okay...let me just say that a manuscript that I put together from selected entries has managed to catch the attention of a fifteen-time best selling author.
It's an amazing story, really that I hope to be able to share with you quite soon.
I'll let you know as soon as anything happens.
